To read them in this book again years later, it is incredible. Her parents were happy and they accepted her no matter what because she is there daughter and Jennifer has nothing to hide anymore and it makes the recovery so much easier for her and her family. The message of this book is that no matter what might have happened in your life or if you have something you are embarrassed of you shouldn't be afraid to ask for help or tell people your secret because once its off your shoulders you will feel better. One small criticism is that I thought her voice sounded almost too happy in some places; like the character was grinning and it just didn't fit for me at times.
