TellMeWhen is useful for anyone. You can even set waypoints to other locations that are in other zones or even other continents. Once you've finished leveling your first character to 120 in Battle for Azeroth, you probably aren't keen on doing that whole process over again with another character. You can even make your own chat filters with logic not just a simple word match like others do, but it of course can do that too I agree that TellMeWhen or Weak Auras should be mentioned too, but they are pretty advanced add-on and may be overwhelming for a new player. It's a great survival tool for the newbs.
It is very similar to WoW-Pro in that it will give you directions to the nearest quest objective, but has so much more. So I hope maybe somebody will really understand what I'm saying. One thing that hasn't really changed about World of Warcraft since it released in 2004 is its user interface. Really, it's like leveling a new character on auto pilot. With this addon and its other versions for older expansions installed, you won't have to painstakingly memorize every boss fight. Because nothing whatsoever in the new client allows anything to do with this feature.
I'm having the same issue with Quartz. I love freeing up action bar space and dumping seldom, but still necessary, actions like Demon Hunters' spectral sight on the radial menu. Addons only mess up with patches. Does anyone know a safe alternative to Curse for maintaining addons? I use it and I think it makes it much quicker and easier to find things. If the addon had previously been hosted by Curse and then removed it may also be removed from displaying on your list after awhile. Another amazing addon included in this suite is Bean Counter, which tracks your bids and postings to give you reports on item-specific profitability, helping you identify what's really making you money.
There's a few things on here that I wouldn't have thought to use but I can tell they're going to be really useful. Enter Azeroth Auto Pilot, a speed-leveling addon that automates dozens of tiny things to make grinding a new character to max level even easier. Information displays Allow at-a-glance access to information like durability, current wealth, location of current quest objective, combat stats, etc. I suggest this addon for sanity more than anything else. What it does is make questing go much quicker by telling you, in detail, what you will need to do to finish quests and will even use the TomTom arrow to point you in the direction you will need to go and a small window that lists what objectives you should be working on, and how to do them. It will even save a copy of your bank so if you are out and about you can check your bank to see if you have something that you may need however, it doesn't carry the item, just a copy of your bank's inventory.
Hopefully by then the kinks are worked out. Has anyone downloaded the new Curse client? Loading out-of-date addons AddOns that have not been updated since the last minor version i. Blizzard automatically clears this checkbox with every client patch, so you may have to re-check it periodically. It was high time I paid up to reimburse their work. You can have these notifications appear wherever you want on the screen. For people who like archaeology, you should also get Archaeology Helper. Some addons are standalone, and are able to run without any additional addons being installed; others can require certain other addons to be installed to work at all, or integrate with other addons to provide additional functionality. You will need to work with this addon quite a bit to make sure that everything is exactly how you want it and you will likely have to go back in to reorganize things after the first few fights, but having your action bars located right where you can see them best will increase the enjoyment of the game a great deal.

More advanced users will appreciate the ability to program custom macros that can change the state of your action bars too. It replaces the entire inventory window with one large bag that stores all your items, but its other features are what makes it a must-have. What's great is that Dynamic Cam automatically shifts between different camera positions depending on what you're doing, which Action Cam can't do on its own.
